A proposal for Jolly Farms

A website & brand that earns visitor trust at first glance

You already do the hard part: scanning ewes for gestational accuracy, ensuring accurate delivery dates, juggling unique customer requests. A researcher two states away can't see any of it until the product arrives and the deal is already done.

Here's how we'd show customers just what your business can do, what it will cost, and how long it takes to build.

01

A note from the developers

Dear Jolly Farms crew,

Thank you for your time on the phone and in person, and for showing us how an order really comes in.

Currently, everything that makes you worth buying from happens where nobody can see it. The scanner in the barn. The ledger with real dates. The call you make before anyone has to wonder. The answer that's almost always yes.

A website can't do your job, but it can do the explaining, so your crew doesn't do it eleven times a week. In about forty seconds it can show a careful buyer that you keep your word and that your entire business culture is centered on their requirements, needs and value.

That's what this proposal is for. Limited technical jargon, no ongoing retainer, no platform to keep paying for — just a high-quality, handcrafted website built for your business.

About Voyager Development

A micro studio in Oregon. Small on purpose, big on results.

We build apps & software by hand with impeccable attention to detail and a laser-focused goal of successfully selling to your customers. The team is deliberately small, so the people who wrote this proposal are the ones who design your pages, write the copy and answer the phone two years from now.

We've worked with clients across North America and the UK, and our code runs for teams that could hire anyone. No account managers, no agency red tape. Our number, a reply by the next business day, and an outstanding digital asset that will perform for your company for years.

How your website will work for you

One primary job: make a careful buyer comfortable enough to call or email, and make it exceptionally easy for them when they do.

A warm welcome

Real photographs of your animals and your people. No stock images of somebody else's farm.

Proof, not adjectives

Every supplier says reliable, but you can prove your dates, show regular on-time deliveries and give testimonial evidence.

Yes is always the answer

Made-to-order product and short-notice runs, spelled out before anyone has to ask. The customer always has the latest.

End it with a pitch

Every page ends in the same step, with your phone number one tap away and one click to writing a message.

Order slips, not contact forms

Head count, gestational day, date and destination, collected up front. Your first call starts with answers.

Found first

Structure, schema and speed built into the site, so researchers who've never heard of you can still find you.

04

Built by hand

No page builder, no bought theme, no monthly platform fee, no room for system hiccups - we keep it simple and keep it lean.

Most small-business sites are assembled from the same handful of templates, and buyers can tell. Yours gets drawn around your own paperwork and the character your company already has. We use copy, design keys and best practices to enhance that presentation of culture and create a link between your image and the prospective customer. Leaving a lasting impression is the goal.

Our handmade sites are fast and built to follow all modern usability and accessibility standards both in practice and required by law in the US.

Nothing to download before the page appears, which matters in a rural setting, or in a hall with one bar of signal. It matters to Google too.

What we hold ourselves to on this build
Page weightUnder 150 KB per page, photographs included.
LoadingUsable in under two seconds on rural 4G.
AccessibilityWCAG 2.1 AA: contrast, keyboard, labeled forms, image descriptions.
MarkupHand-written semantic HTML. Readable by any AI or human developer.
SearchTitles, descriptions, headings, business schema, sitemap, clean URLs.
DevicesChecked on real phones, tablets and desktops.
FormsSubmissions land in your inbox, readable at a glance and easy to sort.
OwnershipCode, designs and files are yours on final payment.

How we'll work together

Six stages. Something real goes live in week one.

  1. Week 1

    Onboarding and domain

Submit your kickoff paperwork, then the domain secured and a single page live so you're findable straight away.

  2. Week 2

    Logo and branding

Logotype, colors and type, shown on a card and a ticket. Everything else is built on top.

  3. Weeks 3 – 4

    Website and structure

Design, copy and build together, on a private link you can click through as it grows.

  4. Week 5

    The five extra pages (optional)

Networking, How We Work, Ordering, FAQs and the location page.

  5. Week 5

    Document and digital design

Cards, social assets, document templates and the QR codes for easy access.

  6. Week 6

    Launch

Forms tested, search settings in place, every page checked on real devices, scoring high with Google. Then we go live.

About six weeks from kickoff, or seven with the extra pages. Stages overlap when photographs and answers arrive early.

What you get from us

  • A weekly check-in email in your inbox every Friday.
  • A private link to the staging site as it's built.
  • Replies by the next business day, from the people doing the work.
  • Two rounds of changes on each piece.
  • Small fixes after launch, on us.

What we need from you

  • Photographs of the flock, the facilities and the crew.
  • Contact details and where enquiries should land.
  • A read of the words & promises we're making on your behalf.
  • One person who can guide and approve the work.
  • Trade show dates, when you have them.
